World of Warcraft: Celebrates Six Years of Greatness Right Before Cataclysm

With the Cataclysm expansion on the horizon, World of Warcraft is about to celebrate a milestone. Six years old and growing stronger and larger everyday. It’s no small task to be as successful as World of Warcraft has been, with plenty of competition from other MMOs, World of Warcraft has proven it’s worth and stood the test of time. No easy feat, with over 15million monthy subscribers. The emergence of so many great Free To Play games recently hasn’t even put a dent in the World of Warcraft player base, and as one of the last successful subscription based services, and have proven its worth over and over again.  How many more years will World of Warcraft be successful only time will tell.

Great expansions like Cataclysm will only strengthen Blizzards grip on the world wide MMO market. Many have tried to compete with World of Warcraft but few remain. Every other game is compared to WoW, and with such high standards few even come close to matching the experience. Happy 6th Birthday World of Warcraft .
